10/04/2017 Clinton man arrested of felony Fleeing Charges. |

From the desk of Sheriff Randy Gurley On October 4th, 2017, Deputies from the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office, attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding 75 mph in a 30 mph zone in Shirley. Deputies got into a pursuit with the vehicle, that would not spot for deputies after they activated their emergency lights and siren. The vehicle then crashed near the Shirley School and was occupied by to persons. As deputies attempted to arrest the driver, the driver became combative and was resisting arrest. The female passenger of the vehicle attempted to help the driver resist arrest. Arrested at the incident location was 29 year old Waylon Bramlett of Clinton and 28 year old Kendra Elise Bramlett of Clinton. Waylon Bramlett was charged with felony Fleeing, misdemeanor Resisting Arrest, Driving while Intoxicated, Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test, and Reckless Driving. Waylon later bonded on $2500.00 bond. Kendra Bramlett was charged with misdemeanor Obstruction Governmental Operations, misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct, and misdemeanor Public Intoxication. Kendra later cash bonded. |
