Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office receives grant to purchase radios.

On October 19th, 2016, Van Buren County Sheriff Scott Bradley and Van Buren County Judge Roger Hooper, accepted a General Improvement Fund Grand from West Central Arkansas Planning and Development District that was obtained through the offices of Arkansas State Representatives Trevor Drown and Greg Standridge. The grant is in the amount of $15,656.42 which is to be used for the purchase of communication radios to be used in patrol vehicles.

The West Central Arkansas Planning & Development District (WCAPDD) General Improvement Fund grants are to (city and county governments/community groups) for community and economic development projects within the House and Senate districts of WCAPDD. The 90th Arkansas General Assembly appropriated funding to WCAPDD for the grant program to assist local communities with their community and economic development needs.
