Little Rock man arrested for Fleeing.

On October 3rd, 2016, Deputies were patrolling on State Highway 16 E, and came into contact with a vehicle traveling east, that was driving on the wrong side of the roadway. Deputies reported the vehicle almost hit them. Deputies said when trying to make a traffic stop the vehicle fled from them and struck a bridge at Pee Dee near Holly Mountain Rd. Deputies said the vehicle left the roadway and went into the ditch and as it was trying to get out of the ditch struck, their patrol unit. Deputies said after getting the vehicle stopped that made contact with two males in the vehicle. The driver 19 year old Austin Wayne McCool of Little Rock was arrested and is being charged with Fleeing with more charges pending. McCool is currently incarcerated at the Van Buren County Detention Center awaiting a first appearance.
