Bee Branch woman arrested on Drug charges. From the desk of Sheriff Scott Bradley On September 8th, 2016, Deputies from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, during an attempted traffic stop, had a vehicle flee from them. After the vehicle crashed into a ditch on Happy Hollow Road, an occupant on the passenger side jump out of the vehicle and fled into the woods. The driver was identified as 31 year old Miranda Shea Rice of Bee Branch. Branch was arrested and is being charged with misdemeanor Fleeing, Driving on Suspended Driver’s License, misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana), and misdemeanor Possession Drug Paraphernalia. Rice is currently incarcerated at the Van Buren County Detention Center awaiting a first appearance. The occupant was identified as James Rice, who was later apprehended by the US Marshall’s.
Law enforcement makes arrest on facts they gather. All person are presumed innocent until proven guilty. |
