April 19th, suspect in drug seziue in Shirley arrsted in Caufield, MO.

On May 13th, 2016, Deputies from Howell County Sheriff's Office in West Plains, MO, arrested 44 year old Jason George Krumsick of Gepp, Arkansas on a Van Buren County felony warrant.

On the evening of Tuesday, April 19th, 2016, Deputies from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office came in contact with a vehicle on US Highway 65, south of Choctaw, driving erratically. Deputies reported attempting to make a traffic stop on the vehicle. Deputies reported the vehicle would not stop, and started driving at speeds in excess of 90 miles per hour trying to avoid Deputies. During the pursuit, Deputies noticed the occupants of the vehicle throwing items from the window of the vehicle. Clinton City Officers aided in the pursuit and tried to slow the vehicle down by getting in front of it. The pursuit continued to State Highway 16 East toward Shirley. Deputies reported the occupants continued throwing items from the vehicle. Deputies reported the vehicle wrecked at the S curves just prior to downtown Shirley. Deputies secured the scene and got medical attention for one of the occupants and found the second occupant fled the scene. Deputies recovered several bags containing approximately 15 ounces of suspected methamphetamine with an approximately street value of $43,000.00. One of the occupants still at the scene was identified as 34 year old Jeremiah Turman of Viola. The 20th Judicial District Drug Crime Task Force and the Arkansas State Police assisted in the investigation.

The second occupant was identified as 44 year old Jason Krunsick of Mountain Home, Arkansas who is currently be sought.

As of May 13th, 2016 Krumsick is currently incarcerated at the Howell County Detention Center, on  Van Buren County warrant with a $100,000.00 cash bond and a Howell County warrant Resisting/Interfering with Arrest for a Felony on a $10,000.00 cash Bond.  Krunsick will be extradited from Howell County upon release of charges in Howell County.
