Clinton student arrested for Falsely Communicating a Terrorist Threat.

On April 4th, 2016, Clinton Police High School resource officer, received information of a student 18 year old Jacob R. Carrigan of Shirley, going around and asking other students if they thought he was rude and then marking a list yes or no. After further investigation, it was found that Carrigan had put an AR-15 type rifle on law-a-way. Officers after speaking with several witnesses and speaking with Corrigan’s ex-girlfriend, that he had made mention “wouldn’t it be funny if I showed up at graduation and started shooting”.  Officers also reported that students as well as teachers thought his behavior was disturbing and felt threatened. Carrigan is currently incarcerated at the Van Buren County Detention Center, being charged with felony Falsely Communicating a Terrorist Threat. He is awaiting a first appearance.
