Bee Branch man arrested for fleeing Arkansas State Police Trooper.

On March 6th, 2016, an Arkansas State Police Trooper, noticed two motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed on US Highway 65 North traveling north. The trooper reported after trying to stop the speeding motorcycles, one to the motorcycles pulled over, and the other continued on fleeing from him. The trooper reported the vehicle reached speeds in excess of 100+ miles per hour. The trooper reported the pursuit traveled through several counties, (Searcy, Pope, & Van Buren County), where later with the help of Conway County, was able to get the motorcycle stopped at Pear Road and State Highway 95 in Conway County. The suspect on the motorcycle was identified as 30 year Bailey Preston Collums of Bee Branch in Van Buren County. The trooper reported that Collums had a warrant out of Lonoke County. Collums was arrested and taken to the Van Buren County Detention Center. Collums is being charged with felony Fleeing, felony Terroristic threatening, misdemeanor Possession of a controlled substance, Reckless driving, Speeding, Driving left of center, Improper turn signal, Failure to obey stop sign, Riding without a motorcycle operator license, Owner failure to register vehicle, and No liability Insurance. Collums is currently incarcerated at the Van Buren County Detention Center awaiting a first appearance.
