01/28/2016 Harrison woman arrested on drug charges. |

From the desk of Sheriff Scott Bradley On January 28th, 2016, Arkansas State Police Trooper made a traffic stop on stop of US Highway 65 North. During the stop a 38 year old Loretta Montgomery of Harrison (the driver of the vehicle) became combative. Montgomery was placed in custody. After doing a impound search of the vehicle, Trooper found drug paraphernalia in the purse of Montgomery. The driver of the vehicle was arrested on the scene and transported to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office. The trooper after dropping off Montgomery, found suspected methamphetamine in his back seat. Montgomery is being charged with felony Possession of controlled substance, methamphetamine, felony Possession of drug paraphernalia, DWI 4, Refusal to submit to chemical test, Driving left of center, Resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. Montgomery is currently incarcerated on $7500.00 bond. |
