On January 1st, 2016, Deputies from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24 year old Derek Joe Young of Bee Branch. Deputies responded to Damascus, about a criminal mischief incident that happened on Stuart Road in Van Buren County. After speaking with the victim and witnesses, deputies found that Young had taken a hammer and busted the windshield of the victim’s vehicle. Young was later found at apartments in Damascus and arrested. Young was charged with Criminal Mischief in the 2nd degree and later bonded.
