Clinton man arrested on False Imprisonment and Drug charges.

On October 12th, 2015, Deputies from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office respond to a possible kidnapping in the Sally Flat area of Stone County, assisting the Stone County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies received information from Stone County that they had pinged the phone of the victim, which showed the victim to be in the Porter Road area of Van Buren County. Stone County also told deputies the suspects was 33 year Gary Dewayne Mills of Clinton and a gun was involved. Deputies made contact with the vehicle on Porter Road and arrested Mills. After a search of the vehicle, deputies found illegal drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Mills was charged with felony False Imprisonment, felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Interfering with Emergency Communications. Mills is currently incarcerated at the Van Buren County Detention Center awaiting a first appearance.
