Oppelo man arrested on Residential Burglary, Drug Charges, and Aggravated Assault.

On May 4, 2015, Deputies from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance in the Scotland area of Van Buren County. Deputies arrested 33 year old Evan Lucas Wilson of Oppelo for breaking into 2 residences and pointing a gun at the owner of the residences. Deputies also found Wilson to in possession of controlled substance, a large bag of pills without a prescription that are suspected to be hydrocodone. Wilson is being charged with felony Residential Burglary, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Controlled Substance Class I or II narcotics not methamphetamine. Wilson is currently incarcerated at the Van Buren County Detention Center awaiting a first appearance.
