Vehicle accident leads to search for Conway man.

On Friday August 22nd, 2014 at approximately 4:08 PM, a deputy from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office was trying to catch up with two vehicles on the new road, who appeared to racing each other. The vehicles were report as a larger black vehicle and smaller black compact vehicle. The deputy was unable to catch up with the vehicles, that where headed towards State Hwy 16 E form State Hwy 330 S in Shirley. The deputy reported heading into Shirley and coming upon a wrecked vehicle at State Hwy 16 E and Tarkington Road. The vehicle was a 2011 black Honda Accord. Investigator Jeff Bittle of the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, arrived on scene and assisted in the investigation. Bittle found out from passenger in the vehicle, that 27 year old Cody Lee Moses of Conway, AR, was driving the vehicle and had fled into the woods from the wreck. Bittle found that the vehicle was stolen out of Little Rock, AR. Law Enforcement from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office and assisted by the Fairfield Bay Police Department searched for Moses. Moses was not found. Moses is also wanted on felony and misdemeanor charges from several counties.
