Surveillance Catches Burglars
From the desk of Sheriff Scott Bradley
On April, 2, 2014, The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Depart received a report of an attempted residential burglary at a residence on Hwy 336 East. The reporting party provided a copy of surveillance footage that clearly showed a white female attempting to break in to the house while accompanied by a white male. Investigators were quickly able to identify who they thought the suspect(s) were, but Sheriff Scott Bradley elected to ask for the publics help in the event that the suspects were different.
Heather Paxson, 23 of Clinton, was arrested the following day for Attempted Residential Burglary. Paxson was released on a $4,000 bond. The second suspect was identified as well with charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
