Residential Burglary results in arrest

On February 7, 2013, a Bee Branch man reported that his home had been burglarized and he was in pursuit of the suspect(s). Deputies with the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department, Arkansas State Police and 20th Judicial DTF responded with the suspect(s) apprehended in minutes.
The primary focus of the investigation was on Brandon Lovell, 26, ofClinton, who was accused of entering the home and taking several duffel bags, and at least two firearms. Lovell fled the scene with the other three occupants of the vehicle. The owner, Hiro Sasaki, of Bee Branch chased the vehicle overEastMt.where responding Officers ultimately took the suspect(s) into custody. Most of the stolen merchandise was recovered from the suspect vehicle. Lovell was in possession of at least two handguns and evidence that lead to investigators receiving a search warrant for Lovell’s residence. Investigators found exploded pipe bombs, modified weapons to accept home made silencers and at least one stolen firearm.
Lovell is currently being held on a bond revocation from a previous criminal charge in Van Buren County. Lovell faces several additional Felony charges in connection with this incident. It has initially been determined that the other suspects in the vehicle were not participants in the burglary, but the investigation is still ongoing.
