Shirley man arrested for stabbing acquaintance.

On July 8th, 2012 at approximately 8:05 PM, Deputies from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a stabbing at 3289 Henderson Road in Van Buren County. When Deputies arrived on scene, they found 51 year old Ray Pifer lying on the ground. Pifer informed Deputies; Kaleb Kirkendoll had stabbed him and stole his truck. After a search for Kirkendoll, Deputies spotted Pifers vehicle on Hwy 16 East. After a short vehicle and foot pursuit, Kirkendoll was apprehended. Kirkendoll is currently incarcerated on Felony Battery in the First Degree, Felony Aggravated Assault, Felony Fleeing, and Misdemeanor Resisting Arrest. The charges have been filed with Prosecuting Attorney Cody Hiland and Kirkendoll is awaiting first appearance on the new charges. A parolee hold has also been placed on Kirkendoll.
Kirkendoll was also arrested on a previous Aggravated Assault warrant where on 06/23/2012 he is alleged hitting 31 year old Jared Martin ofClintonin the head with a gun. Martin had to be transported to St Vincent inLittle Rockand was put into intensive care by doctors for injuries sustained to his head.
