On April 16, 2011, the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Dept received a call of a burglary in progress at 6160 Hwy 95 West. While Deputies were en route, the caller returned a call to notify Deputies that the suspects had fled the scene in a white, two door vehicle driving toward Scotland. After deputies arrived on the scene of the burglary, they learned of the possible suspects. Minutes later, Sheriff’s Deputies located the vehicle and suspects in the Scotland area. Tylor Black, 20, of Scotland, James Long III, 18, of Clinton were both arrested and charged with one count each of Residential Burglary – Class B Felony and Theft of Property – Class A Misdemeanor. Both men are being held at the Van Buren County Detention Center with Probation/Payroll holds. |
