Meth Lab discovered, one arrested

On November 12, 2010 the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a possible homicide at 6613 Hwy 124 East.  Deputies with the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department responded with the assistance of Damascus Police Department.  Deputies arrived to see two people inside the residence, but fled the home as Deputies approached the house.  Deputies entered the home to find a firearm, broken glass, and what appeared to be blood on the floor.  The investigation further revealed several components used in the manufacture of methamphetamine where in plain view inside the residence.

The 20th Judicial District DCTF arrived to process the scene and arrangements were made with the Arkansas State Crime Lab to clean up the chemicals inside the home.  A warrant was sought after and received for the person known to be living at the residence.

In the early morning hours of November 30, 2010, Jason Chad Duncan was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms and Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons.  Jason C. Duncan is currently being held at the Van Buren County Detention Center with no bond.
