10/19/2010 Morrilton Man dies in Hunting Accident.
From the desk of Sheriff Scott Bradley
On Tuesday October 19, 2010 the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a man involved in a hunting accident. Investigators responded to the Reynolds Deer Camp just off of Low Gap Road in Scotland where the reporting party was waiting.
Mr. Robert Williams 71, of Morrilton had left on Sunday after church to go to the deer camp to hunt for a couple of days. Mr. William’s wife didn’t hear from him on Monday and was unable to locate him that day. Tuesday morning, Mr. William’s brother-in-law, Mr. David Reynolds, of Greenbrier, came to search for Mr. Williams and found him on his deer stand. Investigators do not expect foul play. Based on the circumstances involving Mr. Williams’ death, the State Medical Examiners ruled that Mr. Williams died of circumstances involving his recent heart illness.
