Two Searcy County residents have been arrested as a result of an undercover drug investigation involving the Twentieth Judicial District Drug Crime Task Force, the Arkansas State Police the DEA.
Bobby Woods, age 49, and Jessica White, age 22, of 1472 Baker Road in Leslie, Arkansas have been charged by 20th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Marcus Vaden with Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession Pseudoephedrine with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine, and Operating a Drug Premises.
During the course of the investigation, an undercover agent posing as a methamphetamine dealer made arrangements to conduct a drug transaction with Mr. Woods for the purpose of purchasing of one pound of methamphetamine. Woods offered to trade property and several vehicles in exchange for the methamphetamine. Woods also offered his residence in Searcy County as a location to cook meth. On October 12, 2010 Woods met with an undercover agent to make the exchange. He was arrested and a search warrant was obtained for his residence.
During the search of the residence, officers located glass smoking devices with suspected meth residue, ziplok bags containing meth, marijuana cigarettes and items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
"We have had Mr. Woods on our radar for quite some time. Due to the cooperation of these law enforcement agencies, another methamphetamine dealer has been taken off the streets", said Vaden.
