On August 14th, 2010, 45 year old Donna Snowden of Clinton was arrested at the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office. Members of the 20th Judicial District Drug Crime Task Force, Arkansas State Police and the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office had been investigating Mrs. Snowden on criminal activity of furnishings or introducing prohibitive items into a detention facility. Snowden was taking into custody after being caught introducing suspected illegal drugs into a hole in a window at the Van Buren County Detention Center. Snowden is charged with five felony counts- knowingly introduces a prohibited article into a correctional facility, tampering with evidence, possession on a controlled substance-methamphetamine, delivery of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, and battery 2nd degree on police officer. On August 16th, 2010 Snowden had a first appearance before 1st Division Circuit Court and a bond of $20,000.00 was set. Snowden later made bond and was released. |
