On the afternoon of Monday January 23^rd 2012 John Brandon Kocher (33) of Mountain View was arrested by the Van Buren County Sheriff's Department subsequent to a traffic stop in Clinton, Arkansas. Kocher was found to be in possession of a small amount of Methamphetamine, a small amount of Marijuana, items of drug paraphernalia, and numerous firearms. Kocher was also found to be in possession of a home-improvised silencing device for a firearm. The Clinton Police Department responded to the location of the traffic stop for assistance and the 20^th Judicial District Drug Task Force was called to the scene for assistance as well. Kocher was charged in Van Buren County Circuit Court with Possession of Methamphetamine, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Use of Prohibited Weapon (all felonies), and misdemeanor possession of Marijuana.
