Meth Lab Discovered
On December 16th, 2010 the Van Buren County Sheriff Department and the 20th Judicial Drug Task Force made the discovery of a clandestine methamphetamine lab located at 1383 Long Branch Road in the Bee Branch area.
Department of Human Services assisted the Sheriff’s Department in checking the welfare of small children who were believed to be in the residence where the lab was discovered.
Investigators found suspected chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. in a vehicle just behind the residence. A thorough search of the vehicle revealed two working labs and several other paraphernalia components to manufacture methamphetamine. A search of the residence revealed more components for manufacturing methamphetamine as well as approximately ¼ gram of meth.
Patricia Hickman, 34, of Bee Branch was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and numerous drug charges.
