On August 8, 2010 Mr. Shane Dee Richardson-Smith was arrested on a warrant for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements, Class C Felony.  The warrant was issued after Deputies discovered no one was living at the address in which Mr. Smith was showing as his place of residency.  The owner of the residence in question did not know the arrestee, nor had they rented the property.  At this time The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department has two more outstanding warrants to be served on sex offenders that have failed to meet their registration requirements.  For more information on registered sex offenders, Sheriff Scott Bradley asks that you log on to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department website at www.vbcso.com.
