As Sheriff of Van Buren County, I would like to extend my thanks to this county for your continued support. I would also like to thank my staff for making this department what it is.     When I was elected Sheriff in 2003, I had several goals for this department. Most of these goals were inspired by the people of this county, by conveying their ideas to me. One of my most important goals was to create and maintain a professional department that meets, and hopefully exceeds, the expectations of the fine citizens of this county.     As Sheriff, I have willingly cooperated with county officials to consistently stay within the financial boundaries of my budget. Managing your tax dollars is a very important part of my responsibility to the public.     Lastly, as Sheriff of this county, I will continue to maintain this office in a professional manner.
